Greetings, everyone!
As an intermediary between our clients and our candidates, we often find ourselves in a difficult position. While clients wage 'a war of talents' due to the shortage for suitable candidates, candidates are giving us feedback that they face difficulty in searching for a new job. There is always a mismatch in the labour market, and we want to be a part in closing this age-long gap.
To kick-start this, our business in recruitment is slowly transiting into social recruiting and moving away from legacy tools like job boards and print advertising, having received numerous pejorative comments from our clients and candidates on their ineffectiveness. As part of our social recruitment, we started a Talent Community and opened our arms to anyone and everyone, no matter where they are in their career path - whether they are actively looking for a new job, or if they are content in their current position - to join us.
There are many talent communities out there in the market, and you must be wondering what makes CTES' talent community different from the rest. Talent communities and talent pools are often mistaken for each other. Most 'talent communities' out there are more like 'talent pools' in which the relationship is a one way street and communication is one-sided. CTES' Talent Community operates through a two way interaction between CTES and community members. Members in our community are not a list of names generated from the system or a spreadsheet when needed but they are able to participate actively in a productive and interactive environment where we share ideas for the purpose of career networking, job seeking, mentoring purposes and updates on employment and hiring landscapes. These relationships formed from sharing similar challenges, values, ideals and knowledge are what makes our Talent Community valuable and informative for our members.
To ensure that we can communicate with our members more effectively and efficiently, our Talent Community is now active on WhatsApp. Communication is two way and interaction is real time!
