  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Manager – Mechanical to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Provide site coordination and practical solutions to address project issues.
  • Apply strong mechanical engineering knowledge, including design understanding and relevant codes of practice in building services.
  • Ensure the quality of materials and installation works by suppliers and subcontractors in accordance with the ISO Quality Plan.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and control suppliers’ materials and equipment, as well as subcontractors’ installation quality.
  • Prepare shop drawings and coordination drawings as required.
  • Prepare work schedules and attend client and internal meetings.
  • Assist with day-to-day project activities under the master planning schedule, including quality and safety matters.
  • Coordinate closely with the main contractor to minimise rework and support smooth project execution.
  • Monitor site materials and equipment to reduce wastage.
  • Liaise closely with suppliers and subcontractors to minimise delivery delays that may affect project progress.
  • Check for non-conformance in materials or installation works and ensure appropriate follow-up to prevent defects.
  • Explore new technologies and installation methods to improve productivity.
  • Follow up closely on site progress and maintain clear communication with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a contractor environment.
  • Relevant experience in live laboratory / cleanroom A&A works is required.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 / 14001 / 45001.
  • ISO Internal Quality Auditor certification.
  • Possess Building Construction Safety Supervisor Course certification.
