If you are a dynamic individual seeking a new career opportunity, read further!THE ROLE
Operating within the Medical Tower's Planning and Development team, you will lead the Technology-Enabled Care mandate for the institution Medical Tower. You are responsible for ensuring that Smart Hospital innovations are translated into functional, patient-centric services that improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency - and that the digital infrastructure underpinning these services is planned, integrated, and delivered as a coherent whole from the outset. The responsibilities of this role are: 1. Smart Service Integration
Partner with clinical users and the IT Planning Office to develop and implement digital health strategies across the Tower's inpatient wards, specialised service units, and clinical support services.
Lead the scoping and functional planning of smart service deployments, ensuring that technology solutions are matched to genuine clinical and operational needs rather than implemented in isolation.
Track implementation progress against the master programme, identifying risks and coordinating resolution across workstreams
2. Digital Patient Journey
Translate technology-enabled care goals into functional infrastructure requirements, ensuring the patient journey through the Medical Tower is streamlined through automation, digital wayfinding, and integrated care platforms.
Work with clinical users to map end-to-end patient touchpoints and identify where digital interventions add measurable value to care delivery and patient experience.
Ensure digital infrastructure requirements are captured and incorporated into design briefs before construction milestones close.
3. Operational Integration
Collaborate with IT, Synapxe, and Operations to ensure all smart service implementations are compatible with existing digital infrastructure and the broader HealthCity Novena ecosystem.
Anticipate integration risks arising from system interdependencies and facilitate early resolution before they affect deployment timelines.
Support the transition from project mode to operational readiness, ensuring digital systems are tested, staff are prepared, and services are functional on Day 1.
4. Strategic Planning & Justification
Support users in preparing data-driven proposals and business justifications for digital service scaling and budget allocation, ensuring alignment with the overall Medical Tower development timeline.
Develop clear, well-structured papers and presentations for management and steering committee approval, translating complex technical proposals into accessible decision-ready documents.
Stay current on emerging healthcare technology trends - including AI-assisted care, remote monitoring, and automated clinical workflows - to inform 'the institution's smart hospital direction.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
Recognised degree in any discipline with at least 8-10 years of relevant working experience.
Background in healthcare, biomedical sciences, or clinical operations is advantageous, with a strong understanding of how clinical and operational functions intersect in a hospital setting.
Prior experience in a public healthcare institution is preferred.
Strong planning, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate clinical needs into digital infrastructure requirements.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, well-structured papers, minutes, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Proficient in data analysis and presentation tools, with the ability to construct compelling, visually coherent proposals.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently under tight timelines.
Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders across clinical, technical, and administrative levels.
