The Asia Pacific (APAC) Sales Manager is responsible for managing the entire sales organization towards achieving company’s monthly, quarterly and annual plan objectives for order intake (bookings) and Sales revenue.  Reporting to the Asia Business Unit Manager, you will ensure that the field sales team in the APAC region is organized, staffed, trained, and inspired to meet company goals and objectives.

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Proactively lead Sales Team to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual bookings expectations
  • Manage sales activities and opportunities on daily basis
  • Gives instruction and assistance as necessary to support customer requests to sales regarding technical and product application, quality concerns, price, and delivery issues
  • Coordinates and consolidates Annual Orders and Sales Budgeting processes.
  • Manage all aspects of salesforce.com CRM system with respect to opportunity pipeline, order forecasts, data integrity, and all elements designed to drive full utilization
  • Ensures corporate image is properly represented to new and existing customers
  • Responsible to hire, train, monitor, and discipline all sales members in the region
  • Manage and motivate the complete channel to market structure in the region, including direct sales, sales agents/reps, Distributor partners, contract manufacturers, OEM’s and others
  • Liaison and coordinate global policies with respect to sales programs and procedures to be followed, where appropriate, in other regions (AMER & EMEA) 
  • Work with required personnel in sales & marketing to set and administer pricing policies in addition to ensuring pricing policies are properly followed
  • Enforcing safe practices within the field selling organization
  • Ensuring adequate employee training
  • Ensuring complete compliance with a wide range of company published compliance and regulatory practices
  • Working closely with Inside Sales team on communications with customers and quotations activities.
  • Engaged in meetings with Executive Leaderships, provides monthly performance reports and customer trends
  • Manages subordinate supervisors and non-supervisors. Is responsible for the overall direction, coodination, and evaluation of department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and governmental laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • This role may manage Territory Sales Managers, Region Sales Managers and Field Application Engineer

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • Min 7 to 10 years of sales and marketing management experience 
  • Familiar with connector industry
  • Salesforce.com software experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • ERP experience a plus
  • Experience with global manufacturing environments desirable
  • Flexibility to adapt and able to manage multiple assignments while working independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication to customers in Asia region.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as required
