The Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Rewards Management will play a pivotal role in transforming our organization’s management and technology salary structures. This is an exciting 2-year contract opportunity for an experienced rewards professional to drive a comprehensive overhaul through robust job evaluation methodologies, market studies, and strategic compensation planning. The AVP will collaborate extensively with HR leadership, business stakeholders, and external consultants to ensure our salary frameworks are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.The responsibilities of this role are:
Lead the end-to-end review, redesign, and implementation of the management and technology salary structures, ensuring they reflect current market trends and future organizational needs.
Develop and execute a detailed project plan for the overhaul, including clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines for completion within the 2-year contract period.
Conduct comprehensive job evaluations utilizing recognized methodologies to ensure internal equity and consistency across all levels and functions.
Perform in-depth market benchmarking and compensation studies for management and technology roles, leveraging both external data sources and internal analytics.
Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, and external consultants to gather input, validate findings, and ensure effective change management.
Design and present recommendations for salary structure adjustments, job family redesigns, and pay practices to the senior leadership team and compensation committees.
Establish robust communication and training plans to support the rollout of new salary frameworks, engaging managers and employees with clarity and transparency.
Monitor the ongoing effectiveness of the new structures, identify potential gaps, and lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the contract duration.
Ensure all compensation programs adhere to legal and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and guidelines.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCP, GRP) are highly desirable.
At least 8 years of progressive experience in compensation, rewards management, or total rewards, with demonstrated expertise in job evaluation and market benchmarking, preferably within management and technology functions.
Strong knowledge of compensation frameworks, salary structure design, and best practices in both local and international contexts.
Proven track record of leading complex rewards or compensation projects, ideally including large-scale redesigns.
Expertise in job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer, Hay Group, Towers Watson, or similar).
Exceptional analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence at all organizational levels.
Experience managing vendors and consultants is an advantage.
