  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for an Asst Director, Development Fund to join their team!

The Assistant Director reports to the Deputy Director of Development Fund Office and plays an active role in conceptualising, developing, and executing fundraising strategies.  Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, the role is responsible for driving initiatives that secure sustainable funding for  the Community Fund’s key programmes.   
 
The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Actively solicit and manage Mid-Level and Major Gift ($10,000 to $1,000,000) prospects.
  • Develop strategies and approaches to generate ever-higher levels of giving.
  • Generates leads to increase the overall prospect pool.
  • Leads Corporate Sponsorship initiatives and prepares tailored proposals for donor prospects
  • Support team members to achieve their goals.
  • Develop and lead communications strategies that raise awareness about the organization's mission and impact, inspire action, and support fundraising efforts. 
  • Assist in conceptualising and managing new programmes to deliver the Community Fund’s objectives.
  • Assist in reviewing and developing policies and process to ensure fundraising practices as well as regulatory and legislative frameworks are in place and adhered to.
  • Prepares management report and budget as necessary.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communications, Business Administration, or any other related discipline.  
  • Healthcare and/or research fundraising experience will be an advantage.
  • At least 6 to 8 years relevant experience in direct fundraising with proven track record.
  • Proven experience in major gift fundraising.
  • People-oriented with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Able to think creatively and strategically.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
