We are seeking an experienced sales and business development professional to drive growth and expand market presence in Indonesia for a well-established and reputable educational institution. This role is pivotal in achieving revenue goals, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing team.The responsibilities of this role are:
Sales Strategy & Business Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue objectives in Indonesia.
Drive revenue growth and expand market share through innovative sales initiatives and partnerships.
Analyse market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to identify new opportunities.
Collaborate with the Country Director in Jakarta to ensure alignment on sales and market engagement strategies.
Build and sustain long-term customer relationships at all levels, including senior L&D managers and C-level executives.
Identify key influencers within client organizations and understand their key business pain points.
Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for the customer, representing their needs internally.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to exceed performance targets.
Set clear goals, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Foster a results-oriented and customer-centric team culture.
Coordination & Reporting:
Provide insights and assistance regarding local laws, market trends, and business practices.
Support in-country surveys, reports, and the flow of strategic information to headquarters.
Manage information related to potential client opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders at the institution’s HQ and relevant business units.
Handle general business enquiries related to professional and continuing education offerings.
Develop a pipeline of inquiries and opportunities across SOEs, private sector, and family-owned enterprises for further engagement.
Support marketing and thought leadership initiatives held in Jakarta.
Collaboration & Team Contribution:
Collaborate with internal peers to share best practices and market intelligence.
Leverage internal resources to address client needs with a consultative approach.
Maintain positive, respectful, and collaborative working relationships with colleagues.
Represent the institution’s brand and values positively within the Indonesian market.
Ensure confidentiality of client information and internal operations, in line with business practices.
Demonstrate professionalism and punctuality in all engagements and communications.
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Education, or related fields are preferred.
Prior leadership experience with a proven track record in business development and executing successful sales strategies.
Strong background in building and leading high-performing, insight-driven business development teams.
Demonstrated ability in senior stakeholder management and strategic account development.
Exceptional relationship management and consultative sales skills.
Proven success in B2B sales environments with a results-oriented mindset.
