Timely transaction processing
Timely reporting of Operational, Management, Statutory and Regulatory reporting
Proper monitoring and execution of process/system controls
Timely and clear operational process documentation and policies and maintenance of policies
Leadership in process improvements/projects and support of system changes/upgrades
The responsibilities of this role are: General Ledger, Financial Reporting and Fixed Assets Accounting:
Preparation of accounting schedules and statutory financial statements
Assist in the preparation of management financial statements
Perform account analysis of common Balance Sheet A/Cs and coordinate with stakeholders to review balance sheet GLs;
Preparation of various statistical returns and ad-hoc surveys an ad hoc requests for financial information;
Review and update fixed asset policies and procedures to be in line with changes in accounting standards
Preparation of fixed assets year-end and audit schedules
Review and ensure the depreciation postings is complete and reconciled with fixed assets register.
Ensure fixed assets transferred from development projects are correctly capitalized in fixed asset records and perform quarterly reconciliation.
Ensure accuracy of fixed assets statistics and information required for internal/external reporting and for insurance purpose
Provide advice and guidance to departments on fixed assets and general ledger policies and procedures
Lead in user training of new processes/procedures/policies and continuous user education of existing processes/procedures/policies.
Conduct fixed assets training for end-users annually
Lead in process improvements and co lead/support entity level projects of which Implementation of fixed asset tagging solution is 1 critical project in the pipeline.
Identify and drive areas for improvement in the fixed asset and general ledger process
Measure and report process timeliness, quality and efficiency
Conduct reviews and data analytics to enhance controls over fixed assets
Administration of SAP system and system accesses
The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
Possess a degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent awarded by a recognised University.
Working experience of 5-7 years.
Familiar with SAP Financial system is an advantage.
Have good analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Be meticulous and resourceful with positive work attitude.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Mature and possess good interpersonal skills.
