  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for Manager or Senior Manager, Advancement Services to join their team!

As part of the Advancement and Development team, the individual will manage a wide variety of functions and resources that support university fundraising.  He/she will provide leadership in the areas of gift administration, database management, data analysis and reporting, and donor stewardship, communications, research and events.

The responsibilities of this role are:

Database Management/Gift Administration
  • Manage gift administration procedures, including gift processing, documentation, acknowledgment, implementation and reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of donor and gift information and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance of gift policies, guidelines and agreements.
  • Coordinate with other business units on the administration of financial aid and scholarship cycles, and processing of matching grants and tax deductions for donations.

Stewardship, Communications, Research, Events and Special Projects

Work with Advancement Services team and key internal stakeholders to grow relationships with and support from donors and prospects by
  • Developing and executing donor stewardship plans and recognition events.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of donor gift information and stewardship activity.
  • Preparing impactful stewardship reports to donors.
  • Enhancing public understanding of giving opportunities and donor-related programmes.
  • Support advancement-related projects, including campus visits, presentations, receptions, ceremonies, and media announcements.
Others
  • Contribute to advancement-related operational activities and projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the department.
  • Undertake and perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising function or similar capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous, systematic, process-oriented, and attention to detail. Competent in managing complex projects with competing priorities, requests and strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated management skills, with creative problem-solving and good project management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive team player; ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and controls.
  • Comparable experience in administration, operations, accounting and audit, communications, database management, database query, CRM, analyst/policy work strongly recommended.
  • Highly internet savvy, with good MS Office skills particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with higher education philanthropy and passion for technology and design are desirable.
  • Experience in using fundraising software and web content management systems advantageous
