  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Manager, Career Education to join their team!

The Manager, Career Education will form part of a team of trainers, responsible for providing customised career skills workshops for the undergraduates. The candidate will work with team members to identify, design and conduct conduct career skills workshops to develop career readiness of the undergraduates.

The responsibilities of this role are:
 
  • Oversee the development of career skills education for the students which include the following:
    • Develop the content of the career skills workshops, produce materials and conduct the workshops, where necessary
    • Propose essential career skills topics for students that will support them in their career preparation, thus equipping them with relevant career skills in their job search
    • Plan, direct and coordinate the running of the career skills workshops
    • Work with training providers, where necessary, to conduct new career skills workshops
    • Develop and organise career materials, multimedia visual aids, etc that will support students in their career preparation. This includes sourcing for or creating online materials
    • Evaluate effectiveness of training programmes and provide recommendations for improvement
    • Develop and launch e-learning career skills platform
  • Train colleagues to facilitate career skills workshops
  • Source, propose and recommend suitable inventory that students could use to address their career interests
  • Any other duties as assigned by Director, Career Services

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor degree from a good University with at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Passionate about helping students and able to relate to students and understand issues/problems quickly
