  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Regional Product Innovation Director to join their team!
Product Strategy & Innovation:
  • Commercialise the vision & strategy by re-orienting product & content development be in the service of fulfilling commercial KPIs required by markets. Establish a culture of data & KPI driven decision making throughout the product marketing organisation
  • Identify new product opportunities through market research and competitive analysis that meet agreed upon category needs of the Area
  • Develop strategic mid-long term product strategy / roadmap for APAC region and together with the countries. 
  • Overall responsibility for driving the markets short & long term product planning through S&OP process, and lead product harmonization & synergies amongst markets as much as possible
  • Collaborate with Global Product Development, Supply Chain and other partners to ensure successful development and launch of new products and initiatives.
  • Manage the different product work streams for the APAC regions to ensure timely launches of new products aligned with the brief requirements. 
  • Be the key contact point between the markets and Global Product development in gathering needed information and feedback to move the project through the NPD cycle within the specified timelines
  • Work with multi-functional teams to ensure that internal and external research is conducted on consumer trends, product positioning, brand strategy, consumer behavior/habits, and pricing in order to make statistically sound decisions on product strategies across channels.
  • Present and demonstrate new products to Marketing teams at regional meetings and conferences
  • Work with finance teams for end-to-end business cases for the new products
  • Analyze product sales results for the Area and alignment with strategic categories growth focus
  • Prepare and recommend product rejuvenations and extensions for every category based on category analysis
  • Recommend product enhancements, new categories, promotional opportunities and partnerships
  • Communicate a thorough knowledge of product information, marketing initiatives, market research techniques, promotional activities and brand strategy 
  • Build and support a strong and strategically focused Marketing Team 
  • Ensure effective control of Asia Pacific Inventory, and lead the collaboration between markets to minimize their excess and inactive inventory and thus improve cash flow. 
  • Monitor competitor products and marketing activities 
Communication and Content:
  • Work closely with markets to create strong, integrated product launches. This includes integration with promotional programs, events, videos, training, catalogue/flyer placement, public relations and recipe development.
  • Conduct psychographic, demographic and life-stage segmentation of consumers to target product storytelling and digital content
  • Create compelling content (still, video, interactive, catalogues etc.) across relevant media channels 
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market plan in collaboration with marketing and sales teams in areas & countries
  • Preparation marketing activity reports and submit to executive management. 
  • Support the company Brand guidelines. Establish and maintain a consistent 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
