  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a .Net IT Consultant to join their team!

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Communications & Information Technology Division, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Work closely with other divisions in new academic initiatives, projects and system evaluations
  • Manage developers and vendors to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Ensure developers and vendors perform works compliant to IT policy and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare technical specifications for tenders and projects
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Perform risk assessments to minimize risks for change requests
  • Plan and manage budgets and resources for projects
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with stakeholders and vendor
  • Manage project applications  

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent from a recognised university
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in similar area and with at least 3 years of project management experience
  • Good project management skills (PMP / PRINCE II or equivalent certification is a plus)
  • Proven technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in application development using Microsoft technologies (.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL)
  • Prior experience in Peoplesoft would be an advantage
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Proactive and independent in managing potential issues
  • Able to interact with various stakeholders in all levels and with different backgrounds
