This is a technical leadership role, partnering closely with software development teams, infrastructure delivery teams and cybersecurity teams, and be responsible for designing, building and supporting Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) platforms and environment for software development, build and releases, virtualization, automated provisioning, patches and upgrades.

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Lead activities to architect, implement and operate a Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) platform to support the coordination, integration, and flow of software development, testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate and work closely with domain experts in infrastructure, applications and security experts to integrate pertinent requirements, priorities and best practices into the DevOps processes.
  • Continuously improve visibility into the systems, applications and security with advanced monitoring, metrics and log analytics.
  • Continuously review, housekeep and automate processes for speed, efficiency and accuracy in the CI/CD environment.
  • Proactively plan, pilot and adopt relevant technologies in keeping the CI/CD environment ahead of the rapid business changes and growth.
  • Develop and manage a campus-wide programme for continuous education and adoption of DevOps, and enable sharing of knowledge and experience among the communities.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 10 years’ working experience within IT industry, inclusive of 5 years’. experience in IT operations, developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good hands-on experience with one or more of the following DevOps technologies: 
    • Docker Development and deployment into Kubernetes/Open-Shift.
    • Nomad for deploying application across infrastructure.
    • Jenkins to automate the build, test and deployment of the CI/CD.
    • Terraform to manage lifecycle of infrastructure resources.
    • GitHub, a code sharing and publishing service.
  • Proficient in Cloud enablement, multi-Cloud and hybrid Cloud environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to learn and stay educated on evolving technology trends.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
