  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client, a tertiary education institute, is currently looking for a Manager, Gift Finance and Administration, to join their esteemed organisation!

The incumbent is required to manage and support the effective and efficient running of the daily operations for Gift Finance. Backup the running of Finance and Office Administration when the manager is absence. Contribute to strategic and operation planning, lead project initiatives and a team of support staff.
 
The duties of the incumbent will be:
Gift Finance
  • To work with relevant departments and teams to manage government matching grant application and allocation procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Attend to enquiries on gift finance matters from departments/ teams or external parties. Responsible for reporting, budgeting and cash flow projections relevant to government matching grant.
  • Attend to audit independently.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls on the operations.
  • Responsible for external and internal reporting, ensure accuracy and timeliness in the submission for matching grants application and allocation.
  • Work with stakeholders to meet operation efficiencies. Recommend and implement system enhancement from time to time to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Undertake and perform projects as assigned.
Finance
  • Manage financial operations in the Development Office in compliance with the University’s policies and guidelines.
  • Establish and implement procedures and processes for procurement and payments. Maintain approval matrix.
  • Work with relevant departments and teams to prepare annual budget and monitor variance.
  • Responsible for financial reporting for the Development Office.
Office Administration
  • Lead support team to independently manage the office administration.
  • Manage procurement of general office supplies, leasing of equipment and upkeep of office facilities and making contingency plans to avoid disruption to office services.
  • Provides routine HR administration support.

In order to be qualified for the role, you will need to have the following:
  • Bachelor degree from a recognised university or professional education in accounting or finance.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience and execution experience in relevant areas of finance/accounting.
  • Excellent managerial skills and ability to manage a broad range of areas.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong communications and relationship skills.
  • Resourceful and confident to communicate/ interact with multiple stakeholders of the University.
  • Ability to work well in a team and as an individual.
