  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Prinicipal Network Automation Engineer to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Design, implement and maintain network application services using APIs from various core network technologies (e.g. Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, Infoblox, etc.).
  • Orchestrate network processes using orchestrator tools and automate complex network management tasks.
  • Develop automated methods to complement the current monitoring platform to monitor network health and metrics collection.
  • Develop a co-related model from various telemetry data sources to automate the detection, mitigation and remediation of potential operational gaps or network events.
  • Develop and implement custom scripts to automate the monitoring of wireless and wired user experience, infrastructure services performance and availability.
  • Work on integrating multiple systems such as NMS, Cloud, SDDC, etc.
  • Develop automation process for on-boarding new devices to network system.
  • Work with vendor and collaborate with peers within and across other towers to develop and strengthen the data analytics capabilities and derive user behavioural insights from the data lake.
  • Deliver and implement network automation projects according to University’s requirements.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience with 2 years in network application development.
  • Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux OS/networking, web servers and SQL databases.
  • Ability to write scripts and solid knowledge of three or more programming languages in Python, bash, shell, Java, Perl, Powershell, NETCONF, YANG and HTML5.
  • Good knowledge with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, YAML, JSON, RESTful services and APIs.
  • Good knowledge of the following technologies: SNMP, Syslog, DNS, DHCP, Netflow, HTTPS and SSH.
  • Familiar with software-defined networking architecture, underlay and overlay concept, Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controller, ISE) and understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and commonly-used network routing protocols.
  • Experience with Splunk and Infoblox APIs is a plus.
  • Proven ability to operate under pressure and meet challenging deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Result oriented, well organised, good time management skill with strong communication skill to communicate effectively with audience commanding different degree of IT knowledge.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a team, with good initiative to learn and deliver.
