  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Manager, Finance (AP, Claims) to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Lead a team handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Staff Claims functions.
  • Ensure that all invoices, payment requests and staff claims are processed accurately for prompt payments to the right parties
  • Ensure that feedback and queries on AP and Claims functions are attended to promptly, and resolved on a timely basis, including any under or overpayment and refunds
  • Ensure that all AP and Claims related monthly and year-end schedules and reconciliations are prepared correctly, and reviewed promptly on a timely basis
  • Ensure that these functions are operating in an efficient and effective manner meeting the company’s objectives and key performance indicators
  • Ensure that system, processes and standard operating procedures (SOP) are robust and updated
  • Ensure that good internal controls are in place
  • Responsible for following up on the abnormalities detected by Data Analytics for AP and Claims and report on findings from the investigation
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, bankers, claimants, other divisions and external vendors
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies as well as accounting standards and relevant Acts
  • Involve in process reengineering, system implementation, digitalisation and other improvement projects
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Deputy Director (Finance) or Director (Finance)

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Degree in Accountancy with at least 10 years of relevant working and supervisory experience
  • Good technical knowledge and capability to perform the accounting functions and updated with FRS changes
  • Good internal controls and risk awareness
  • Hands-on worker in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes
  • Good team player yet highly independent and resourceful
  • Ability to coach and motivate staff to achieve the division as well as Institute’s objectives
