  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Senior Sales Engineer/ Inside Sales Lead (Parts & Upgrades), SEAP to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:

Inside Sales activities of South East Asia & Pacific (SEAP) for spare parts & upgrades such as inquiry analysis in commercial and technical aspects, preparation of strategic quotations, bringing in cleared orders, etc for valves and other Engineering products, while managing a team of Inside Sales. The individual shall be ready to travel in the region to meet and present to customers, whenever required.
  • Leading a team of Inside Sales, SEAP
    • Set-up winning strategy in respect of technical and commercial
    • Manage team and coordinate job process with other departments / customers
    • Train, coach and develop the team to promote individual and company goals.
    • Coordination between Company Goal and Team Goal
    • Maintain processes and integrity related to company policies
  • Preparation and submission of good quality technical and commercial proposals
    • Select the suitable product / spare parts and proper accessories in accordance with the customers’ requisition, codes and basic plant application understanding to generate sound technical proposals
    • Determine and create the product / spare parts list
    • Estimate the manufacturing cost of the product and prepare the commercial proposals and long-term purchase agreement
    • Clarify the customer’s and commercial terms and conditions
    • Prepare the deviations and clarifications sheets
  • Operate and update tools
    • Operate tools (Product sizing program and cost model, MK System, Database etc)
    • Update of  tools (SFDC, etc)
    • Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports
  • Building up a closer bilateral relationship with customers / sales channels / factories / other departments
    • Communicate with customer to fix the product specification
    • Collect and analyse customers’ needs
    • Negotiate with customers on technical and commercial matters
    • Internal negotiation with various factories / departments
  • Preparation of order packages
    • Prepare the related documents and instructions of manufacturing to hand over the order to the Project Management Team
  • Assist in Sales team activities
    • Prepare technical presentation materials for Sales / customers
    • Present selection / proposal to customers

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 or more years related experience in a similar position and organization, preferably in control valves or other mechanically related equipment, or related experience, either in oil and gas, power plants or the chemical industry.
  • Candidate with experience leading a team may be considered for Inside Sales Lead position.
  • Process Application know-how for Power and/or Oil & Gas industries.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills essential
  • Positive, aggressive, open-minded, an achiever & a team player
  • Excellent communications skills, in both verbal and written English
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel, Word and MS PowerPoint
  • CRM Tool – Salesforce knowledge will be a plus
