  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is looking for a Associate Director (Programme Giving), to join their esteemed organization. 

This position acts as the Lead for the Leadership / Annual Giving teams and is responsible for developing and implementing the various LG/AG strategies and programmes to meet targets set out each year.
The incumbent is expected to develop and drive marketing strategies, plans and channels to reach students, alumni and targeted constituents for giving regularly to the University.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement strategic framework, workflow processes and standard operating procedures for the Programme Giving team to work effectively and efficiently with both external and internal stakeholders
  • Own and drive the results for Annual / Leadership Giving programmes
  • Develop segmentation: appropriate selection criteria, prioritisation; implement key initiatives and engagement strategies for target prospect segment.
  • Analyse inflow and outflow trends and develop appropriate acquisition and retention strategy
  • Develop strong and innovative direct marketing appeals: Manage and coordinate programme identity, key messages, case for support, marketing and publicity in coordination with the communications team.
  • Analyse the various direct marketing channels response rates and improve program appeals
  • Prepare and manage budgets and management reports. Communicate effectively to management, key stakeholders, internal and external constituencies on the progress, success and results of the AG/LG programme and activities.
  • Plan and manage use of key communication/ solicitation media, including: on-line, direct mail, phonathon call centre, face-to-face events, seminars and individual alumni / student volunteer engagement.
  • Collaborate with and support student / alumni volunteer champions and alumni class committees to drive fundraising projects, which could include conceptualising strategy, identifying, researching and engaging prospects, planning and driving publicity, producing marketing collateral, executing appeals, facilitating gifts and naming, and managing other administrative support.
  • Partnering with Faculties and Halls of Residence to identify projects and cultivate alumni volunteer champions for Class Reunion giving and other alumni-led group giving activities.
  • Plan, execute and manage a range of activities to steward donors under the Alumni Bursary Fund Campaign, such as gift reporting to bursary award donors and donor appreciation events to continually engage donors and alumni volunteer champions. 

In order to be successful for this role, the candidate must possess the following competencies and experience:
  • University Degree in Marketing and/ or Business related discipline
  • Values philanthropy and a strong desire to contribute to community building/ social course and building a culture of Giving back
  • At least 8-10 years’ strong digital marketing expertise, in market development in a fast-paced environment; relationship marketing involving multiple stakeholder engagement
  • Hands-on experience using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Expertise in mobile apps, user interface and user experience, eCommerce, marketing automation, SEO, social strategy and content management. 
  • High energy with strong sales expansion planning and implementation skills Creative, resourceful and results oriented
  • Good written communication and social skills; be able to articulate well in a group and interpersonal engagement.
  • Strong people engagement and management skills
