The Alumni Manager will implement, manage and drive the Asia alumni strategy in Singapore. This is an exciting, new international role within the Asia Regional Hub. The Alumni Manager will be responsible for delivering a program of activities which aim to uplift contactability and loyalty. The role will support the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders including prominent alumni and target organisations, to ensure success and sustainability of alumni relations in Singapore. This role is responsible for activating programs in line with the global strategy and best practice, the manager will create and manage communications (including social media, electronic communications and publications) supporting programs in priority markets (Singapore, Vietnam, China and India) across the Asia region. The role will work closely with the school in Melbourne and in Vietnam and some travel will be required.

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Plan and manage alumni programming to acquire, retain and uplift engagement and participation within the student lifecycle across key channels including the school network, social media and eDMs in Singapore and across the Asia region.
  • Articulate and craft alumni proposition in line with global alumni strategy and alignment with global offering.
  • Support review of current alumni activity including closely working with key stakeholders in Singapore, Melbourne and Asia Hub.
  • Establish and launch a New Alumni Pass (NAP) in line with Melbourne including coordinating and supporting launch in time for Singapore Graduation in August 2019.
    • Review, articulate and promote benefits of NAP as an integrated program including other lifelong learning benefits for Singapore based alumni.
    • Develop and support team to deliver Singapore Graduation alumni activity.
    • Work closely with Alumni team to integrate community management principles and best practice.
  • Manage and deliver strategic activities across the Region in collaboration with Asia Hub including measuring ROI.
    • Collate, write and promote local (and other relevant) content to create profiles and promote Alumni activity in line with key priorities, themes and segments.
    • Identify and leverage opportunities including academic visits and lectures suitable for alumni volunteering aligned to student impact and brand profiling goals
    • Collaborate and work with relevant stakeholders to deliver student mentoring program in Singapore aligned with best practice.
    • Manage and deliver networking events including liaison and coordination with the Volunteer Chapter.
  • Identify and coordinate with prominent alumni relationship management across region including advising senior leaders, to plan and undertake relationship building activities.
  • Manage, analyse and update CRM and Mentoring databases. Ensure updated information is accurate and timely; aligned with the global segmentation strategy and report on alumni activities. Training will be provided.
  • Work closely with teams in the region based in Vietnam, Melbourne, Indonesia, volunteer chapters in priority markets, and key stakeholders to deliver effective programs.
  • Report on alumni activities as per quarterly timelines and coordinate and monitor budget reporting
  • Other activities and support, as assigned.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Hands-on experience in campaign management including planning ROI and delivering projects with multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in planning and delivery of integrated digital communications, events and marketing activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written and oral communications.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to form effective relationships across key stakeholders at various levels and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient with CRM database usage, segmentation and reporting.
  • Understanding of the communication and cultural needs of people from other countries.
  • Evidence of working with and influencing of virtual teams e.g. APAC region.
  • Degree qualification in relevant discipline in marketing/communications, or similar
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in spoken and written English. Written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) preferred.
  • Experience in alumni programs and/or loyalty membership environment highly desired.
  • Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position.
