The University present an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and passionate IT professional to join us in this journey to transform our Operational processes as the IT infrastructure and Services move towards a more agile, secure, operationally efficient and sustainable infrastructure.
The Associate Director will be responsible to lead IT infrastructure projects and manage vendors. The Associate Director is also responsible to oversee IT infrastructure System operation, transform operational processes, and assist in the timely procurement of required services.
The role and responsibilities of the Associate Director include the following:
  • Plan, Coordinate and Project Manage infrastructure related IT projects.
  • Effective vendor management to ensure our operational outsource vendor deliver the services according to Service Level Agreement (SLA), provide quality work, address timely our stakeholders requirement, aligning their objective towards University's operational excellence and providing values visible to our stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying trends and emerging issues impacting our service delivery and, where necessary, make recommendation on alternative courses of action or to rectify the issues.
  • Proactive in addressing stakeholders needs of IT compute resources and operational support requirement leveraging on operational vendors or other alternative resources taking into consideration on cost effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Conduct capacity planning, system performance analysis and optimization, introduce improvements and enhancement to existing infrastructure and processes.
  • Plan, Coordinate and facilitate Annual Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery exercise.
  • Provide technical, budgetary and operational recommendations to team members and other IT departments for evaluation of solutions for System infrastructure and applications.
  • Plan procurement schedule, execute procurement requirement, draft technical requirement specifications and carry out procurement activities in accordance with the Universities policies and procedures. Anticipate and Identify risks early to ensure procurement is completed on time.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • A relevant university degree with at least 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experiences in project management of infrastructure deployment projects.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experiences in managing outsource operational vendor.
  • Good technical knowledge with hands on experience in servers and storage area such as Software Defined Data Centre, EMC enterprise storage architecture, Hybrid Cloud Design.
  • Knowledge of ITIL with practical hands on experience.
  • Experiences in Business Continuity Planning and IT Disaster recovery is an advantage.
  • Experiences in procurement activities is an advantage.
  • Able to lead a diversified and high performing team and align them to business objectives and outcomes.
  • Understanding of User Centred Design or Design Thinking concepts and workflows is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  SALARY S$8,500.00 - S$11,000.00 per Month
