  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is actively searching for a Procurement Manager¬†to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • Responsible for delivering cost savings targets through competitive bidding process and effective negotiation of supply and service agreements.
  • Responsible for performing all aspects of procurement activities in support of major initiatives including stakeholder requirement analysis, identification of bidders list, RFP/RFQ development, conducting competitive bid events, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, risk mitigation, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and incorporate it in sourcing strategies and agreements.
  • Persuade internal stakeholders to understand Procurement as a strategic while communicating procurement value.
  • Stay abreast of market and industry trends in order to benchmark and develop Procurement best practices.
  • Make sourcing decisions with considering total value to the Company including quality, service, technology, risk, compliance, and cost.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing and procurement
  • Must have proven track record of delivering cost reductions through effective sourcing and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of negotiating and implementing service agreements and contracts.
  • Must be familiar with supplier performance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively influence all levels of management.
  • Ability to think critically and multitask with sense of urgency.
