Our client is actively searching for a Manager, Centre for Career Readiness, Engineering to join their team!

The responsibilities of this role are:
  • You will oversee the development of strategic plans to target and engage with companies in the engineering/IT industries to promote students as employees of choice. You will also drive university-wide employers engagement initiatives to increase employment opportunities for students in the engineering industries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development :
  • Actively reach out to organisations to build and cultivate partnerships to facilitate their talent management programmes. Secure job opportunities for the Integrated Work Study Programme, and full-time employment in the engineering industries for the students.
  • Work with team to develop employer engagement through organising and planning networking opportunities and recruitment presentations.
Career Coaching :
  • Oversee a group of engineering students to provide one-on-one or small group career coaching on career options and career strategies, resume and cover letter critique, development of job search strategies and interview preparation.
  • Conduct regular outreach efforts including workshops and presentations to classes, student clubs and organisations.
  • Build strong partnerships with Overseas University partners to roll out career planning activities.
  • Use the online systems effectively to reach out and track students and their progress and keep track of student employment.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Director, Career Services.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:
  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Preferably at least 10 - 12 years of relevant work experience in the engineering sector.
  • Passionate about helping students secure the right jobs for their needs and aspirations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to both students and corporate leaders.
  • Organised and mature, able to lead and motivate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess good administrative skills.
