  JOB DESCRIPTION Our client, an established Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consultancy firm, is seeking a dynamic Associate Engineer (Licensing) to join their team!

The responsibilities of the role:

Engineering Operations (70%)
  • Achieve the monthly number of assigned licensing targets.
  • Provide technical advice to clients.
  • Draft, check and submit single-line drawings, inclusive of tracing and re-drawing where required.
  • Attend to call-out services, switching services (eg. FSSD testing, rectification works, etc), LEW standby services (eg. standby for load bank testing) and inspection of client electrical installations.
  • Prepare incident report followed with a quotation and cost breakdown.
  • For new job requests:
    • Obtain quotation from partners and arrange for site survey where required.
    • Prepare quotation for call-out service, rectification works, SLD checking and tracing.
  • For confirmed jobs:
    • Prepare price breakdown for issuance of PO to partners.
    • Liaise with client on SLD issues, and scheduling of tracing.
    • Co-ordinate rectification works with partners and clients.
    • Attend to meeting in regards to Licensing/SLD issues.
    • Submit document for completed job billing.
    • Follow-up to obtain POs from clients.
People Management (10%)
  • Share and impart knowledge to all staff via structured or on-the-job-training.
Information Technology (10%)
  • Update the intranet weekly with job-tracking information such as invitations to quote, quotation numbers, PO tracking for confirmed jobs, report numbers, call-out service, and any other relevant job updates.
 Others (10%)
  • Other ad-hoc work as assigned by management.

What is required of the candidate in this role:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A good team player, able to manage project, handle site-work and irregular working-hours.
  • Possesses good communication skills.
