Our client provides holistic and integrated patient care, is looking for a Manager, Patient Education. This role is a constructive step forward for anyone looking for excitement and challenges at work.
The responsibilities of the role:
 As part of the Activation team, you will lead in hospital-wide projects and initiatives to enhance patient and caregiver engagement, empowerment and experience.
  • You will need to support in the development, management and enhancement of hospital-wide patient education tools and resources to empower and equip patients and caregivers with the means and knowledge to seek answers to their healthcare questions in partnership with their healthcare professionals, to make care decisions that suit them best and with the objective of increasing patient activation.
  • You will also build and support a dedicated Knowledge Management system, building on existing knowledge management system for identifying, capturing, evaluating, retrieving, and sharing of the hospital’s information assets focusing primarily on patient education.
  • You will lead in efforts to champion patient, caregiver and volunteer engagement efforts at the Hospital’s Patient Experience Centre, CareConnect, and also have oversight of the daily operations at the Centre.
  • You will need to manage resources and implement programmes, projects and events within set budgets, funding mechanisms and timelines.
  • You will need to support in the conceptualisation and execution of the Singapore Patient Conference and Singapore Patient Action Awards, a large scale conference and awards ceremony that celebrate the healthcare journeys of our patients, volunteers and caregivers. 

What is required of the suitable candidate:
  • Preferably Degree in business, communications, social sciences, behavioural science, psychology, social anthropology or a related field will be an advantage.
  • At least eight years of corporate or marketing communications’ experience or research, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead and influence behaviours to get work done.
  • Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Resourcefulness in problem solving and resilient in overcoming challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
  • Superior professionalism, leadership skills and judgment.
  • Strong work ethics.
  • Strong organisational and event management skills, with a keen eye for details.
  • Familiar with design software and media production processes.
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms and website management.
